About This Role

Works directly in the field performing maintenance, repair, and system optimization for HVACR and mechanical systems. This role operates with moderate independence and is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues across a variety of environments including mission critical facilities, data centers, manufacturing, and commercial operations.

With a primary focus in VA, MD, WV, and DC markets (targeted 90-mile radius), this position will also support national accounts as needed. This role serves as a key contributor to field operations while supporting junior team members and ensuring consistent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVACR systems including chillers, CRACs, CRAHs, air handlers, compressors, and pumps
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with moderate complexity
Interpret system readings, controls, and performance data to identify root causes
Support execution of projects and service initiatives across multiple client sites
Maintain strong communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients
Assist in training and guiding Technician I team members
Ensure work is completed in alignment with safety standards and company processes
Document service activity, findings, and recommendations

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

3–5+ years of HVACR or mechanical experience
Working knowledge of controls components (relays, contactors, motor starters, control boards)
Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and basic electrical systems
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments
Experience in commercial or industrial environments

Licenses / Certifications

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
EPA Certification
Journeyman license (MD or VA preferred)
Additional mechanical certifications (HVAC Excellence, Industrial Maintenance, etc. preferred)
